Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 spotted at the FCC, Verizon LTE on board

Written By bama on Monday 11 June 2012 | 07:18

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has once again been spotted at the FCC, this time listed with a model number SCH-I705. Yet unlike the 3G model that was tested in March, this one has LTE support; Band 13 LTE support, which makes it a possible candidate for Verizon's portfolio.

Of course, the disclosed FCC filing is no guarantee that Verizon will launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, but if it does, this will most likely be the carrier's most affordable LTE tablet. Currently, the cheapest offering is a pre-owned Galaxy Tab 7.7, which costs $400 on a 2-year contract, while a Wi-Fi-only 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 can be bought for as little as $250 at some retailers.

Would anyone be interested in getting one of these, should Verizon launch the device? Let us know by dropping a comment.
