Sony SmartWatch now can be bought from Verizon

The Sony SmartWatch, available in the U.S. since April, is a nice accessory for owners of a smartphone running Android 2.1 or higher. The device brings you the latest notifications from your phone and lets you control certain functions right from your wrist. If you have had a hard time finding the device, Verizon is nowoffering the watch for $149.97 at both its retail stores and its web site. Since the Sony SmartWatch is new, you will find only 60 apps available for it in the Google Play Store, although that number is sure to go up.

You can now use the 1.3 inch screen to read emails, text messages and updates from Facebook and Twitter. It can also be used to control your phone's media player and as a remote for the camera on your handset. Not only will you have the time on your wrist, but you will also have the latest updated weather information. Just remember that you need to have your phone with you when using the Sony SmartWatch.
